The Central Courtyard is an art-inspired traditional stay in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. Born out of a deep passion to preserve Nepalese art, culture, and tradition, the hotel is most importantly a tribute to the original home where our founder was born.

Our Hotel is nestled in the peaceful Jyatha area of Thamel. We are just a stone’s throw away from the best cafés, restaurants, shops, tour operators, taxi stands and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site).

At The Central Courtyard , we’ve restored and revived heritage through salvaged wooden carvings, traditional windows, recycled paper lights, reused bricks, and terracotta tiles. The hotel is a harmonious blend of traditional architecture and modern creature comforts. Our spacious rooms are filled with natural light and styled with an earthy palette, incorporating elements of Newari and Tibetan design philosophy.
